A B O U T    L O U I S E

I first experienced Bowen Therapy in 2006 as a curious client, after a recommendation from my brother. As a committed rugby-player, he had found it one of the most effective treatments for injuries accumulated over many years on the rugby pitch.

Initially sceptical that such a gentle treatment could address the pain I was feeling in my neck/shoulder area, I was amazed to find that after two sessions, the pain had gone.

After further success with a long-standing back issue I had had, since falling from a horse as a teenager, I was a convert and I decided to train as a Bowen Technique practitioner myself. I enrolled with the European College of Bowen Studies (E.C.B.S. now the CBS) in 2008, and qualified as a practitioner in 2010.

In addition to regular professional development courses run by the ECBS, I have also completed both the Basic and Advanced courses in NST (Neurostructural Integration Technique). This is another interpretation of Tom Bowen's work, largely based on his later work and I now incorporate NST moves into all of my treatments.

I hold full practitioner insurance and am a member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists.  I attend regular training courses and workshops to refresh my skills and update my knowledge.
